[edit] Welcome to the Houston Action Center

Vibha is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that was founded in 1991 with a vision to ensure that every underprivileged child attains his or her right to education, health and opportunity. Since its inception, Vibha has supported more than 160 projects in India and 10 projects in USA. Vibha, with the support of patrons such as you, has been able to positively impact the lives of more than 110,000 children. To maximize impact, Vibha selects projects from all possible spheres of influence that can affect an underprivileged child - right from poverty to education to health care to canvassing for changes in government policies.

We're the Houston Action Center (HAC) of Vibha - a group of energetic and enthusiastic people from all walks of life, brought together by a strong belief that we can positively impact the future of India - even from halfway across the world. Our action center, founded in early 2006, has been successful in reaching out to the local community through awareness campaigns as exhibited by our growing volunteer base and patrons. As a growing action center, we are now taking the next step by raising funds to support the cause of underprivileged children.

We organize events, drives and campaigns in Houston to create awareness about our cause, as well as raise much needed funds to support grassroots projects in India. You can join as a volunteer, participate in our events, donate or help us spread the word by talking to your friends and family about Vibha and our cause.
